A experience that I have been through that I had no control over was my last basketball game in highschool. We were playing Warren De La Salle in the regional game. It all came down to the final seconds of the game where it was our ball and we were down 2. All game the plan was to stop me from getting the ball so they they had two defenders on me.This was something that I had no control over and someething that I could not have altered. The plan was to get the ball to me but sense they had two defenders on me it was impossible. So we inbounded the ball to my friend Tracy who was suppose to penetrate and dish but he took it upon himself to try and do it alone. So as we inbounded the ball tracy got it and drove the lane. He is about 6apos;2 and strong as an ox but as he drove he was bumped and lost the ball of his foot. The thing about it was that i had gotten open in the corner for the win and jus as he looked up at me to pass it he lost it. Everyone in the gym was pissed off at him instead of me, i understood his situation and why he didnt kaje the pass. On the inside I was heated, wanted to just punch him in the face but i took my judgement about the situation and put myself in his shoes. He had to feel bad because we had that game won but he screwed us up.
Reflecting on it I feel good about the way I acted, he was my boy and all he needed was for one more of the people he cared about the most on his back.
